Lyssy Wedding | New Braunfels, Texas

The day was finally here, Tyler and Patra’s wedding! It was very special to me, getting to be a part of their day! I have photographed them for the last year now, and have loved every second of watching their relationship grow… From random sessions of them together, portraits of their beloved pups, their engagement session, and now their wedding!

Patra and Tyler decided that they just wanted to have a small, intimate, backyard wedding with their family and close friends. All the decorations and entire set-up was done by Tyler and Patra along with both of their family’s help! It was so beautiful to see it all come together, and made the day that much more special for them.

Everything about this wedding was not only beautiful, but done with so much love. I sincerely love what they decided on for their ‘guestbook’. The beautiful stained and customized wood piece was made by Tyler himself. Patra found all the other decorations and put it all together for the tables. Sunflowers are her favorite flower and I love how they brightened up the photos, and the tables.

Everything about this day truly showcased their love for one another, and both of their personalities. There was so much support and love on the day of from all their family and friends. It was sincerely beautiful to be there and be able to witness it all!

When we did their first look, their reaction to each other even had me tearing up behind the camera. It was so sweet to see them both react almost identically to one another. They hadn’t seen each other in over a day, and were anxious to just be able to hug one another before walking down the aisle. I snuck them away to an adorable church up the road from their family’s property to do their first look in private. It was the perfect location, and so beautiful!

Tyler’s cousin, Jason, was asked to officiate their marriage. He’s an amazing friend to them both and was definitely the perfect person to unite them together in their marriage. The ceremony speech he provided was so heartfelt, and so touching, no one could have done it better for Tyler and Patra! It was sweet, but also had everyone laughing through some of it.

Patra and Tyler, thank you for always having me be a part of your special relationship milestones. It is always so much fun to work with you both! I sincerely couldn’t be happier for you two to start this new chapter of your lives together. You’re both such amazing people and really bring out the best in one another. It was such an honor to be a part of your wedding day. I felt so loved by all you both, as always — but also by your family & friends. I look forward to continuing to be a part of your future milestones! :)
