It was slightly overcast, giving the most beautiful even light across the park. The breeze was light. The tree leaves blowing. It was a beautiful afternoon in Round Rock, Texas. As a car pulled up, two little boys got out.. One sleepily rubbed his eyes. He got to have a nice nap during the travel from Killeen. The other was excited to explore and search for bugs! What better way to spend an afternoon?! Off to the massive tree we went. In search of bugs and ‘berries’.

Their giggles were not only adorable, but contagious.

They stood under the tree, whispering to one another…
“Look at these ‘berries’ stuck to this leaf.”
“Look, I found more!”
While exploring is clearly one of the most fun things to do at a park.. The boys were happy to get some snuggle time together underneath the tree on a blanket with Mum & Dad. For a little while at least.. When they ran off again to explore more, I snuck in some beautiful shots of Mum & Dad alone. When the boys came running back up the hill, I asked them to “Quick! Stand facing me, and cover yours eyes!” I got Mum & Dad to kiss behind them. That sneaky little Alik was peeking the whole time!
One of the many great things about Old Settlers is how big the park is, and how much there is to see. We walked across the way and headed down some beautiful walking paths. The boys were happy with all the cactus to see and bugs to find.. Towards the end of one of the paths there is a beautiful little field. The light was shining through perfectly on some gorgeous ‘wispy’ grass.. What better way to finish this beautiful family session?

Thank you for traveling to Round Rock to have your session at this beautiful park. I really think it was the perfect fit for your family, with your two beautiful boys. So much gorgeous open space for them to explore and just be boys. I loved being a part of creating and capturing beautiful memories for your family to look back on and cherish for years to come. It was a great honor to be able to meet your family and get to know you all. I’m happy to have been able to show you a beautiful park in Texas, and to be able to capture some great memories of your time here.
