It was a gorgeous morning in Georgetown – a beautiful 65 degrees. There was a gentle breeze blowing, rustling through the leaves; as we walked to each different spot, the leaves that had fallen crunched under our feet. It was the perfect day for Patra & Tyler’s couple session. They were so excited, holding hands and giggling the entire time..

One of my favorite parts during this session was when Tyler put on some country music and started to dance with Patra under the trees.. It was unexpected, and completely adorable. I love photographing couples!! To see the bond and love they shared between one another is something so beautiful. It wasn’t just any country song either..

It truly melted my heart watching them slow dance under the trees… What a beautiful way to end a session!

These are the moments in sessions that constantly remind me why I started photography in the first place.. To freeze special memories in time between people for them and others to cherish and enjoy for years to come. I love being a part of my client’s lives – being there to capture the memories they want to hold on to, and to be a part of their milestones. Being a part of Patra & Tyler’s relationship through these photos was not only so much fun, but also so beautiful. I truly feel honored that they asked me to be the one to capture these moments for them. They’re approaching their anniversary and I couldn’t be more happier for them both!

I know that some clients are unsure of morning sessions because of the light. However, I think morning sessions are so beautiful – the light is gorgeous and soft. You don’t get a sunset at the end, but you will get amazing even light. I think this post is a great representation of a lovely morning session for you all to see. :) If you’re a morning person and able to get everyone up & ready, it’s definitely worth it!

One of the most exciting parts about this session for me was that we shot at two locations, both new places I hadn’t used for clients yet! The first one was somewhere that Patra recommended. I love when clients have ideas for a location, especially if they let me know beforehand so that I am able to go scout it out before the session date. This ended up being such a great suggestion. There were two gorgeous waterfalls and a beautiful bridge! At the second location, somewhere I had found on one of my location scouting days, there were trees for days! The park also had a beautiful path with fallen leaves everywhere. There was a cute fence as well, and a bridge that we didn’t quite make it to, but will eventually get featured during one of my sessions I’m sure.
