You know it’s going to be a great session when it’s the first day without rain in over a week! I was so happy that the weather cleared up just in time for Joanne’s session with her beautiful bridesmaids & close friends. It was the perfect temperature for all these lovely ladies to be able to show off their gorgeous dresses.

Meeting and posing a group of twelve ladies can seem intimidating; however, that was not the case with Joanne and her awesome group. Everyone was so sweet and fun! They were all ready to do whatever was needed to get the best shot possible. I love when my clients are extra enthusiastic to get their photos taken. It’s of course that much better when a big group of ladies are ready to party throughout a photoshoot!

I always love knowing where and how my clients heard about me. It was really awesome how Joanne had found me on Instagram! We started talking about her awesome idea to have a photoshoot with just her bridesmaids and her closest friends here in Austin. I loved her idea of getting photos done with just herself and her girls before the big day. We had a lot of fun ideas planned and I was super excited to meet everyone!

The other thing I love to hear about, of course with my clients who are couples is all about how they met. Joanne actually lives in Colorado with her fiancé who she met in Houston! She told me how they’re doing a destination wedding in Hawaii which I think is so amazing. She chose Austin for her bridal party session as most everyone in the group lives in Texas! I sincerely love how everyone came from all over, just for this session. You ladies are such awesome friends!

As most of you know, I typically photograph my sessions in more nature-based locations. While Joanne expressed how much she loved the nature look of my sessions, she really wanted her photoshoot to take place downtown. Who could blame her?! I love the architecture of all the gorgeous buildings.

A few weeks prior to the session, I went downtown to scout out some locations. When I showed Joanne some of the gems I had found for her group, she instantly got even more excited. The place I was most excited to photograph at was definitely the movie theater. While I knew it would be a tricky shot to capture with the location, it was PERFECT. The bridesmaids were more than ready to get into their fun poses for this shot.

When we reached the last location, the stairs, the girls had the champagne ready! Two bottles to ensure that we could get a good shot with the cork popping! The champagne definitely had other plans.. But we all had an amazing time getting everyone in their poses and shaking the champagne! Watching it fly all over everyone as they all burst into laughter was definitely also a highlight.

Joanne, thank you for asking me to be a part of this special time in your life. I really loved being here to help capture these memories with you and your amazing bridesmaids and friends. You were so fantastic and I had so much fun!

Ladies, thank you for being so awesome with all my posing ideas, and for having some great ones yourselves! You were all so wonderful, andI couldn’t be happier that I got to meet you all. I really love that you all traveled from all over Texas to be a part of this with Joanne and have a fun girls weekend with her.
