The Kaminski Pochet Family | Round Rock, Texas

It was a gorgeous late spring afternoon. The sun was streaming beautiful golden light through the tree branches; the breeze gently rustled the leaves… It was the perfect day for Ania and Xavier’s photoshoot. I couldn’t have been more excited to finally meet them both. One thing she mentioned she truly wanted showcased in her photos were some beautiful trees. I knew just the spot…
I truly love all forms of nature being part of my ‘studio’; the gentle golden light diffused through the leaves creates such a gorgeous glow. I was so thrilled that Ania and Xavier were going to get such a perfect golden hour for their photoshoot. I knew all the best spots to take them that would showcase everything she wanted in the photos and more.

When I first saw both Ania and Xavier, I instantly fell in love with their outfits. How cute are Xavier’s shorts, and how gorgeous is Ania’s dress?! These two had me smiling the entire session – they were just too sweet together.

At first, Xavier did not want to be alone for any photos. That was okay, snuggles with Mum always make for amazing photos. Eventually, he warmed up to the idea of getting to explore the park without being in his Mum’s lap. He got to see donkeys, goats and ducks! He picked lots of flowers, and loved running across the bridge at the end of the session.

Taking them to a new spot couldn’t have been more perfect. I surprised them both by bringing my teepee; I was too excited to get to use it in this beautiful field! Xavier had a blast playing hide-and-seek in and snuggling with his Mum in it. The light was perfect, shining beautifully through the branches behind them…

Ania wanted Xavier to see a little bit of Texas (one of her many homes) before they move overseas with Xavier’s Dad. I always love hearing my client’s stories, and love getting to meet people who have been around the world. Xavier is one lucky little boy! He is getting the opportunity to know so many different parts of the world, and people from all over as well. I loved how Ania spoke and sung to him in different languages, and how his face would instantly light up. Moving around to different parts of the world hits home for me, and sharing stories with Ania was really special. I couldn’t be happier for her and her family to be able to have this amazing journey, and am beyond excited for them and their continued adventures!

Ania, thank you for asking me to be a part of capturing these very special memories for you & your son while in Texas. I sincerely loved being a part of this with you, and hope you enjoy looking through these images as much as I enjoyed being a part of them. I hope to see you both again, and your husband when you come back to Texas for a visit!
