Meena and Austin’s Anniversary Photoshoot | Austin, Texas

It was a gorgeous early morning in Austin. The sun was just starting to peek out from behind the clouds, giving the most beautiful soft light. When we were planning this very special first anniversary session together, I asked Meena if they’d be willing to do a morning photoshoot. Her response was “we can definitely wake up early for photos!” — these are my kind of clients!
When Meena and Austin first contacted me about photographing their anniversary session, I was beyond excited! Meena explained how she wanted to capture new memories of them in their wedding attire at all the spots they used to visit frequently. We had met one another when I was photographing Meena’s cousin’s wedding back in February. It was great to get to see them again just a few months after meeting them. Meena and her entire family already feels like family to me! They are the sweetest people you will ever meet, and instantly make you feel so welcomed and loved.

One of the best parts of photographing couples for me, is of course hearing about how they met. I was eager to hear all about how they first met; when you see them together their love for one another is contagious. It makes everyone around them happy, you just can’t help but smile! Meena and Austin originally met when they were attending UT! (Of course this meant that capturing some beautiful photos at UT was a must. Without it, there would be no Meena & Austin!) Putting together a session full of different locations with lots of memories for them both was so special to me. I loved being a part of planning and photographing this session with them. Going around to different cafes and hotels and hearing how they used to go on dates to all these beautiful different places.What better way to celebrate a year of marriage? Meena found a few spots that were just simply beautiful that she wanted to include.

Meena and Austin are sincerely the sweetest couple. They make posing and working with them so enjoyable and easy. My favorite part of photographing couples is letting their love shine through their images. Telling a story with pictures of their relationship is so very special… Getting them to snuggle and laugh was far from difficult. They both had me smiling and laughing the entire time as well.

As we went place to place, downtown, everyone congratulated them. Welcome to Austin! Something I love most about Austin is how kind everyone is to anyone and everyone. Their willingness to try anything for a great shot was amazing; they were up for doing it all, whatever it took to get the best shots!

Meena and Austin, it was sincerely my pleasure to be a part of capturing these gorgeous memories of you both on your Anniversary. Thank you for asking me to be a part of such a special celebration and day for you both. I loved every second with you guys! I hope you both enjoy the memories we were able to capture for you to cherish for many more years to come. Your love for one another is something so rare and beautiful.
