Burke Wedding – Lakeway, Texas

The day has finally arrived! Margarita and Christopher’s wedding!

It seems like just the other day, Margarita was introducing me to Christopher for the first time. She had booked a photoshoot with me for Christmas photos, and I finally got the meet the man she had been talking about! When you see Margarita and Christopher together, their chemistry is undeniable. Margarita has always been the person to light up a room when she walks in, with her contagious smile; but when she’s with Christopher, it’s magnified! Christopher is always smiling with her, and the two of them are the best together!

It has truly been such an honor to watch their relationship grow from their first photoshoot, to the milestone of their engagement session, and now — their wedding day!

Getting to meet and work with both sets of families was so much fun! Everyone had such a great time, and was so happy to be a part of this extremely special day. When I walked into the room for their reception, it looked so beautiful fully decorated! Margarita told me later how her family had helped to decorate everything for her. Every detail was stunning!

The speeches at this wedding were all so beautiful and heartfelt. There was so much love in each and every one. Getting to hear from the maid of honor, Diana, about how close her and Margarita have been throughout the years growing up was so special. I loved how happy she was for them both finding one another. You could see that Margarita and Diana, as it was even mentioned in her speech, were more of sisters than cousins. Christopher’s best man, Alex, gave an amazing speech and even went as far as to translate it into Spanish for Margarita’s family! It was such a sweet surprise for everyone, and was truly so beautiful!

September 29th was not only a date that marked a new chapter for Christopher and Margarita, it was also Christopher’s father’s birthday. It was so sweet when the speeches were done that they made an announcement, and all sung happy birthday to him! His priceless reaction had everyone in the room crying instantly. :)

I knew that the music would be fantastic for their reception as both Margarita and Christopher love to dance. I was excited when they told me that they had decided to have both a band and a DJ. It was great to see that everyone got on the dance floor!

I truly enjoyed spending the day with this beautiful, now combined, family. Everyone was so full of love and happiness throughout the entire day! Being at this wedding really showcased how beautiful it is to see two families joining together. I loved being able to capture the special moments throughout!

Even though the weather didn’t want to cooperate for us, everyone still had a fantastic time. The rain ended up being a good thing… Later on in the day it cleared up for more portraits for Christopher and Margarita. It was definitely meant to be as they got to take photos with a beautiful rainbow behind them!

Margarita and Christopher, thank you so much for having me be part of your special day! You are both such amazing, beautiful people and I wish you nothing but continued happiness in your marriage. Being around you both sincerely spreads a contagious happiness, that is certain. I feel so honored to have been able to photograph all your milestones leading up to this day. I truly look forward to being a part of capturing all your future milestones as well. I know the future holds so much happiness for you both!
