Travis and Samantha’s Engagement – Part 3 | Austin, Texas

I was really excited to photograph Travis and Samantha here! I’ve never done a photoshoot here which made it that much more exciting. It was such a beautiful park and not often showcased by photographers. There are so many breathtaking gorgeous aspects throughout this location. As a photographer, it was hard to decide how to narrow down areas to photograph Samantha and Travis at.

After all these years of photographing people, families and children – there is still something so thrilling about photoshoots at new locations. You’re excited and nervous all at once. You get to explore and try all these new ideas!

Samantha and I had quite a few parks that we kept going back and forth between. When we finally decided which park we were going to go with, I knew we made the right choice.

For this session Samantha wanted to do something slightly more casual for their outfits in comparison to their other two sessions. They wanted a more lifestyle feel for this photoshoot. I love that I got the chance to showcase their personality and love for each other, and for nature.

Going into this session with such a clear and fun idea of how Samantha wanted the outcome to look was great! I sent her a ton of ideas and she loved them all. I truly love planning sessions with my clients. It’s a lot of fun getting to discuss and put ideas together from locations to outfit changes. Watching it become a reality at the photoshoot, and then showcasing all of that in images for your client is amazing!

THE UPCOMING BIG DAY

Samantha and Travis have decided to get married in Washington state at Beacon Hill Catering and Events! I love that they live in Florida, got engaged in Montana, had their engagement photos done in Texas, and are getting married in Washington!
When I asked them why Washington for their wedding, it was easy to understand the reason behind it! Travis loves the Northwest; that’s where he hunts and wants to be long term. Samantha fell in love with the views and the fact that they got engaged up there.
Both of them have family members that want to travel to the Northwest to see it and explore.
I didn’t know, but it’s also on both of Samantha’s parent’s bucket lists!
Samantha and Travis decided with enough time and planning they might be able to actually make it work; and that they did!
Samantha further explained how because she has always lived in Florida, she never pictured herself having a beach themed wedding. When they saw their venue, she fell in love with every piece of it.
Personally as their wedding photographer, I am beyond excited to not only see Washington for the first time, but to also photograph their wedding there. The venue is STUNNING!!! Samantha and Travis’ style is perfect for the location, and I cannot wait to see it all come together.

I’m so excited to see where your journey together takes you. It was a lot of fun getting to work with you again. I can’t wait to see you in September at your wedding – IN WASHINGTON!
