Olson Family | Austin, Texas

The last family session of 2018…! It was a beautiful day for a photoshoot! I couldn’t have wished for better weather, or a more gorgeous golden hour. I was extremely excited to meet the Olson family. Most everyone traveled from all over to celebrate the holidays together. It was a lot of fun getting to work with such an amazing and big family! :)

The holidays are for spending time with loved ones, family and friends. Coming together and spending genuine time with one another. My favorite part of photographing families before the holidays is seeing everyone come together. Seeing them get to be together, having a great time, capturing memories to cherish for years to come.

Getting to watch (and photograph) the love and bond between Mia and Rosario, cousins who have only met once before was the sweetest thing!

Coen was the best photographer’s assistant a girl could ask for. He was fantastic at helping me make everyone laugh with his funny faces. He was also the sweetest brother when his sister wanted to hold his hand. :)

Octavio loved being down by the creek where he could meet loads of dogs and throw rocks with everyone.

While we were down at the creek, Peter and Michael showed the kids how to skip rocks across the creek. During photoshoots it doesn’t always have to be loads of posing. Some of my favorite photos from sessions are the sweet candid moments between families! Like the snuggling photos of this family!

Olson family, thank you all for asking me to be a part of capturing these memories for you all. You all looked amazing, and were beyond fantastic to work with. You all have so much love for one another; it’s such a beautiful thing to see! I’m really happy that you were all able to spend the holidays together in one place. :) Thank you for being such an amazing family to end my 2018 year with!
