Northup Maternity Photoshoot | Cedar Park, Texas

It’s hard to believe that time has gone by so quickly this year! It feels like just last week I was photographing Ileana and Shannon’s pregnancy announcement photos. Now, we’re photographing their maternity session! This beautiful glowing mum to be is right around the corner from her due date. I can’t wait to meet little baby Charlotte once she arrives!

When the Northup family chose this park in Cedar Park, I was so excited. It’s a beautiful place to have a photoshoot. Of course during this time of year, everything changes so much in comparison to winter. There was an abundance of flowers everywhere, the water was much higher with all the rain we have been having lately. I was so thrilled for Ileana and Shannon to be able to have such beautiful photos here, really showcasing how pretty Spring is in Texas.

With every session, I always send out a location guide, as well as a style guide to try and help my clients plan what to wear. The Northup family always look amazing for their photos! For this session I sent out my maternity specific style guide to help Ileana out but I am pretty sure we were already on the same page. Ileana brought two gorgeous dresses with her. I absolutely love that she chose a white lace dress as it’s so timeless and looked stunning on her. However, I’m so glad that we were able to capture stunning shots of her in both dresses. Her second dress was also beautiful and I loved the muted colours. If there is any overall advice I’d give anyone considering a maternity session, it would be that wearing a maxi dress is always a great idea. It really showcases a baby bump beautifully and is so flattering.

Capturing the love between Shannon and Ileana in photos is always easy. These two are the sweetest together! Getting to witness, and capture, the little sweet moments between a couple is something so special. Their excitement for the arrival of their little girl, Charlotte is too sweet. I couldn’t be happier for them starting this new chapter in their lives.

Northup family, thank you so much for asking me to be a part of another important milestone in your life. You both are truly amazing people. It’s always an honor to work with you. You’re both beautiful inside and out; and it’s easy to know that your little girl will be the same. It’s also so easy to know that Charlotte is already so very loved by you both, as well as your families. I cannot wait to meet her! I’m so very excited for you both. :)
