Remington’s Second Birthday Photoshoot | Austin, Texas

I cannot believe it’s already been a year since Remington was in front of my lens! Getting to watch this adorable little boy grow up has been nothing short of fun and enjoyable. I first met this beautiful family during a family Christmas photoshoot they booked. Remington had only just learned to sit up on his own, he was so little! When Katelyn & Clayton asked me to photograph Remington’s smash cake session for his first birthday I was beyond excited! Remington’s first birthday photos are definitely my top ten favorite smash cake sessions. His little suspenders were the cutest and that cake!! This year when Katelyn contacted me about his second birthday photos, I was ecstatic to find out what Remington was interested in a year later. Now he’s all about cars, trucks, and dogs! :)

Katelyn is the best at putting together inspiration boards and having a vision for the session, which I always love! We planned the props out together in the weeks beforehand along with the type of location Katelyn was envisioning. The car and dump truck that they brought with them really added the perfect personal touch to the session! Who wouldn’t love that car?! Remington loved (mostly) every second of it and even made lots of new dog friends during the photoshoot. He wasn’t afraid to tell me towards the end, ‘photos all done’!

I’m so glad that we were able to organize a morning session, the light was beautiful throughout, and we successfully escaped the heat of the day! :) Summer time is hard for younger kids when trying to book a sunset session. Because the sun sets so much later in the day, kids are often ready for bed at that time. If you’re wanting to book a session with your younger ones, morning sessions are a great option!

Boone family, thank you so very much for asking me to be a part of another amazing milestone in your family’s life. Remington is the sweetest and most funny little guy ever. I truly enjoy working with your family and hope to see you all again for another big family session in the near future. Until then, I hope Remington doesn’t grow up too quick! I sincerely treasure creating these images that I know you will love and cherish for many years to come.
