I’m sincerely excited to get to share this beautiful session with you all on the blog today. Mike and Kelli recently moved to Texas! Mike got stationed here for work, so they loaded up their cars with their two fur-babies and made the long drive over. I’m so happy that Kelli reached out to me about capturing some beautiful fall themed photos; especially with them being new to the area. I truly love getting to meet and work with people that have moved to Texas from elsewhere, like me. It’s one of my favorite parts of Austin, that it’s one big melting pot of people from all over.
When speaking with Kelli about planning their session, it was easy to tell that they were both not only extremely sweet, but willing to do anything to get some amazing photos. My kind of clients!!! Kelli completely understands photography and lighting. She also has amazing artistic vision, without a doubt! When I sent over my location guide, I had just added two new locations but had not done a session at the parks yet. I included phone photos to help showcase the location as best as I could which I know can be hard for people to envision. Not for Kelli! She knew it would be perfect for what they wanted and was totally game for one of the new parks. I was too excited, I knew it would be perfect, especially with them being willing to get into the water.
I found this park a while ago, and after some fun exploring with my pups I found so many beautiful areas throughout. My favorite parts are definitely the wall with the vines as well as the water. The best part? It is never crowded here, ever!
I am extremely fortunate to have so many amazing clients that I sincerely connect with when we meet, and even beforehand. I’m really grateful for how amazing and kind they all are. Working with Mike and Kelli was no different! As soon as we met, they were so sweet and it was as if we’d known one another for ages. They were easy going and so much fun to get in front of the camera!
What Kelli and Mike failed to mention when we were planning this session, is that they are secretly amazing models naturally. Posing couples who are willing to show their chemistry in front of a camera, always makes the poses flow easier. Mike and Kelli weren’t afraid to adjust a little and just have fun with it. Having fun during your photoshoot is what it’s all about; photoshoots should never be stressful or not be fun!
Working with these beautiful people was truly fantastic. I love what we were able to create together! They definitely went above and beyond at showcasing this new location. Their chemistry together was so amazing. Their love for one another was so easy to see, and capture in photos. I am sincerely so happy that I was able to meet and work with them both!
Mike and Kelli, thank you so much for entrusting me with your vision for your first photoshoot in Texas! You two are so beautiful inside and out. I’m so very happy that you moved here – I know it was quite the drive, but I do hope that you fall in love with Austin! I’m so happy, and fortunate to have clients like you two. People like you are what made me fall in love with photography and keep me in love with my job. :) You’re both so beautiful inside and out, and I hope that you love these photos as much as I loved capturing them for you. Hopefully I get to meet your fur-babies soon during the next photoshoot!
