Weeks Family Maternity Photoshoot | Austin, Texas

Welcome to Austin, Danny and Ariel! This beautiful couple just moved all the way from England to Texas. It’s always great to get to meet people who have also moved to Austin from elsewhere. Having lived in England myself, it was fun to talk to other people now living here who can understand how difficult the adjustment can be when moving back. I’m feeling extremely fortunate to get to work with two couples in a span of one week that both just moved from outside of Texas. Danny and Ariel came here only a couple of months ago with their pup and with a baby on the way; Ariel is already a super-mum being able to juggle everything at once!

It was such a perfect morning for this beautiful session. I was so glad that it was cooler out for them during their photos. It truly was perfect outside; we couldn’t have asked for better weather. I was really excited to get to show Ariel and Danny this park. It’s such a beautiful small park that is tucked away and can easily be overlooked.

With them just recently moving to Austin, I wanted to make sure that they got a beautiful location to showcase their new home. Planning this session and getting to meet them both was more than any photographer could ever wish for. They’re both so easy going, and fun to be around. They’re the kind of couple you meet for the first time, but feel as though you’ve known them forever. Though, I am sure when your photographer is super cautious about you slipping in the water, only to slip and fall herself, it tends to make that part easier, haha.

Their session conveniently landed around the same time as their upcoming two year wedding anniversary. What better way to celebrate the upcoming arrival of a baby and your wedding anniversary than to capture this amazing time in your life through photos.

If you follow my blog and read along often, you’ll know I always say that capturing memories for families to cherish and enjoy for years to come is what made me choose this career. I chose to specifically focus on families, children and couples because being a part of milestones is what I enjoy the most. Getting to watch families grow, couples go from dating to being engaged, to having children.. Getting to then watch those children get older, grow and change, is what really makes my job so very special. I sincerely love every moment of it.

Danny and Ariel, thank you so much for asking me to be a part of this incredibly important and special time in your lives. Getting to meet you both and capture these special moments for you was a pleasure and a lot of fun. I hope you both love these photos as much as I loved being a part of capturing them for you. You’re beautiful people – inside and out. I cannot wait to meet your little one and couldn’t be more excited for you both!
