Happy Halloween everyone!

When your friend wants to use your dog in her Halloween photos, you COMMIT to the theme haha.

When Karah asked if we could use my dog Karma as a skeleton dog to go with her outfit this year, I was beyond excited! She wanted to do something really fun this year and I’m always game for a Halloween photoshoot. I think it’s such a fun time of year to let your imagination run wild. Do something different, have fun!

Karah looked amazing with her black dress and make-up she did herself. We got a fake decorated skull to include in some photos as well. Before we headed out to the location, I did a couple of photos with Karah and her cat, Akuma. After all, you can’t not take photos with your black cat on Halloween.

We chose this location because it’s never that busy and had the perfect variety we needed for backgrounds. The trees here do go dormant fairly quickly so it was perfect to add to the look we wanted.

My Great Dane/Lab, Karma is quite the model; since she has been in front of a camera her entire life… I used a non-toxic white stick to hand-draw ‘bones’ all over her fur. There was no practice beforehand, so I’m so happy it turned out well!

Thank you Karah for being so much fun to work with, as always. I’m so glad that Karma could be included as well. I can’t wait for next year!
