When you meet a family for the first time, but feel as though you have been friends for years… That’s one of my favorite parts of this job. I am so fortunate to have such fantastic clients who are loads of fun to work with. Grace and James are such amazing people! They’re a beautiful couple, inside and out and the entire session was loads of fun. Harlow is such a character, she had me laughing nonstop at her expressions throughout the photoshoot. Also, what an adorable name!!
Harlow is such a cutie! When her parents told me that her first word was ‘tacos’, I knew we’d all get along perfectly. Who wouldn’t?! This family had a blast throughout their session. We all laughed at all the serious faces Harlow gave us as she’s typically such a happy, giggly little girl. That’s okay, it makes for great memories either way. While Harlow was more than happy to snuggle up with mum for photos, if her dad was holding her, he was ALL her’s! Grace and I kept laughing at the looks Harlow would give her when she tried to snuggle up with them. Harlow has so much personality for her age, I loved every second of it. She was the cutest little thing; I mean look at her bow – TOO adorable!
Getting to help Grace with deciding on outfits for their session was a lot of fun. She had two sets of outfit choices laid out and both were beyond perfect. I love when people find my style guide helpful, and ask for help if they aren’t sure on what to choose. I truly love helping my clients prep for their session. Helping them choose a location and outfits, putting the entire thing together beforehand is a lot of fun.
A lot of people aren’t sure about booking a session in the morning because they have trouble picturing a different type of ‘glow’ that they will get in their photos. I feel like the photo above and a few others in the field that I have included in this post are a perfect example of how gorgeous morning light can be. There is definitely a difference with the morning vs late afternoon, but both are so beautiful. I love that the majority of locations are much quieter in the morning, giving you the place to yourself. Getting to shoot at Blue Hole first thing in the morning was breathtaking. The light shining in behind this family was stunning. I’m so glad that they get to have these photos to cherish for years to come!
Wallace family, thank you for coming out first thing in the morning with me to capture such gorgeous light around your beautiful family in this location. I really value and appreciate the trust you put into me to capture the vision you had for your photos. You all looked amazing and I really love getting to meet and work with you three. James and Grace, you two are the best together, I truly mean it. The couples who laugh together, definitely stay together. You have so much love for one another, and your beautiful little girl, Harlow. It was easy to capture such amazing emotions between you all on camera because it came so naturally to you three. I sincerely look forward to working with you all again in the future!
Loving this early morning session. Just stunning and Harlow, so so cute
