Getting to work with amazing couples like Kristen and Richard is truly what makes photography mean everything to me. This sweet couple are expecting their first baby in January! I couldn’t be happier for them. Getting to be a part of this exciting new journey with them is an honor.

When Richard contacted me about photographing their maternity and newborn session, I was beyond excited. We initially met through Richard’s work and he was so excited that his wife was expecting a baby. It was too sweet to see him light up as he told me about them moving into a home and expecting a baby all in the upcoming months.

Getting to meet Kristen for the first time, after hearing Richard say so many beautiful things about her, it all clicked immediately. These two together are the perfect match. The way they bring out the best in one another. Watching them make each other laugh so much, and smile about everything was amazing. I love getting to see couple’s chemistry with one another. When couples are comfortable enough to let that chemistry be true and shown with me there, it shows on camera. It’s so very beautiful to capture such honest and raw love between two people.

I could not be more excited for these two to meet their baby in the new year. It’s such an exciting and amazing chapter in their lives and marriage. It’s easy to see how much this baby is already loved by them both. They’re going to make fantastic parents. They have so much love for one another and yet still so much love to give this baby.

Honestly, throughout this session I laughed more than I ever have during a session before. These two were hilarious together but also just in general they have the best personalities! It felt as though we had all known each other for ages. The Kelleys make it very easy to feel welcomed and as though you’re already friends when you’ve only just met.

Kristen and Richard, thank you so very much for asking me to be a part of capturing this incredibly special chapter in your life. You two are the match for one another. What you have found with each other is truly rare and beautiful. Excited does not do my feelings justice for how I feel about getting to be a part of the next year of milestones in your lives.
