This little guy was ready to meet his parents, and his fur sibling early!

When I got a message from Richard telling me that Kristen had gone into labor, I was too excited for them! Jude was supposed to stay put through Christmas and hold out until New Year, but he had other plans! Very glad that Kristen had a safe delivery for this guy. I couldn’t be happier for the Kelley family; I know they were beyond ready to finally get to meet their son.

Getting to be a part of a first child’s newborn session is always extra special. I truly love seeing how smitten parents are with their new baby. Capturing those precious moments for them to cherish forever. When I first met both Kristen and Richard, during their maternity session, I knew that their newborn photoshoot would be a lot of fun as well. These two are all the couple goals, sincerely! The way they look at each other, laugh together constantly and just fit with one another is beautiful. I love being around couples who are so full of love for one another.

Seeing that kind of love between Kristen and Richard, it’s easy to see how very loved Jude is going to be. They were already both so very in love with him before he arrived, and now it’s easy to see how much more love they have to give to him. He’s a lucky boy, with many amazing family members with nothing but love to give.

Getting to photograph Jude in his nursery, in the Kelley’s newly purchased home (congratulations on this as well!!), was too precious. I love being able to incorporate all the special and intimate parts of a family’s home and life into a newborn session whenever possible. Being able to offer in-home sessions this winter has been amazing for all my clients. I’m so happy that I’m able to make it that much easier for new mums to relax during the session and just enjoy watching these beautiful moments unfold.
