When I first met the Walton family, during their maternity session, it was so much fun working with them! I was excited to have the opportunity to photograph such a beautiful and important milestone in their life and relationship. When Kirsten contacting me regarding photographing Peyton’s newborn session once she arrived, I was honored!
I couldn’t be happier for Kirsten and Ben finally getting to meet their gorgeous daughter. When Kirsten wrote to tell me that Peyton had arrived, I was beyond excited to get to meet her. This little girl is already so very loved.
Getting to snuggle and pose her throughout this session was the best part of my week. While she did put up a good fight to not go to sleep, she eventually gave in to her milk coma. Once she fell asleep, she let me pose her in all these adorable snuggly poses in so many cute outfits and different accessories.
When I showed Kirsten the lace onesie I had got for this session, she couldn’t wait to see it on. Those shots quickly became some of my favorites from the session. It was extremely difficult choosing which images to include in this blog! There are so many beautiful and precious shots. I picked up a few new pieces for this session; which I typically do for every newborn session. However, the lace onesie is definitely a top new favorite addition to my props. I also love the baskets I got for this week marathon of newborn sessions I’ve had!
Did anyone else notice that all the babies arrived within the same two week span?? Late, early, on time – apparently they all wanted to join the photography family at the same time. Completely fine with me! What could possibly be better than spending your weeks photographing such precious babies. All of them have SO much hair!!!!! It was so funny that it would work out that way. Peyton is the only girl for this back-to-back set of newborn sessions, and the only one born in the new year!
Ben and Kirsten, thank you so very much for asking me to be a part of these amazing milestones in your lives. It was not only a lot of fun, but truly special. I loved getting to know you both and your family. You’re all too sweet and it feels as though I’ve known you all for so much longer than I have. Thank you for being so warm and welcoming always. I’m glad I was able to do this session for you in your beautiful home for you to look back and cherish these memories for many years to come.
