Happy Valentine’s day to all my amazing, sweet and beautiful couples! Working with you all over the last year, or more for most of you, has truly been an honor. I love being a part of all your special moments and milestones throughout life and your relationship.
This year I offered Valentine Day minis at a beautiful local greenhouse. I was so excited to get to work with all repeat clients at this beautiful place and to create amazing memories and photos for them to cherish.
Typically when I posted my minis on the blog, I love to showcase everyone in a blend but this time.. Since it is valentine’s day I wanted to give a special area for each couple I worked with!
The Wallace family… Harlow just turned one and started to walk – eager to be more independent. When Grace booked the session, she said how she would love for it to be just Harlow and her forever Valentine, her dad James. I told Grace that I loved the idea, but definitely wanted her in some photos too! James is a lucky guy, having two amazing women who cherish him so much. At the same time, it’s easy to see how smitten he is with them both as well.
Throughout every session with this beautiful family, there is nothing but laughing happening. Being around these three, happiness is contagious. You can’t help but smile nonstop and laugh so hard that your stomach hurts. The love that James and Grace have for one another, and then for their daughter – words simply don’t do it justice..
I couldn’t be happier that the Wallace family moved here recently. I’m even happier that they found me! When we first met, it was as though we had known each other for years. I already loved their family before our first session together just from emailing back and forth with Grace. Getting to know more about them throughout our first session together was so much fun. Hearing that Harlow’s first word was ‘taco’ made our relationship click into place. Clearly, anyone who loves tacos is a friend for life!
Harlow is the sweetest, most smiley, happy kid around. She loves everyone! When I see kiddos I’ve worked with before and they remember me, and get excited to see me, that’s such a special feeling. Getting snuggles from Harlow is one of the best things to do on a Saturday morning!
Can we talk about how amazing these three look?? I couldn’t get over how stunning they all looked, as always! Grace was beyond stunning in that dress and her heels. James looked dapper as always! Harlow and her little headband and her red dress was the cutest little thing.
Wallace family, your love for each other is not only beautiful but contagious. I wish that everyone could be like you! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such beautiful and precious memories in your lives. You’re all so amazing and I know that today you all will have shared nothing short of another day full of love together. I can’t wait to see you all again soon!!!!
Ryan and Naomi are such a sweet couple! When I first met them for a fun couple’s session, they introduced me to a new park. Throughout the session I got to learn more about them as a couple, and individuals. I quickly fell in love with their love for one another. Naomi and Ryan are truly the perfect match for one another. They are the type of couple that when you meet them, it’s hard to picture them before they knew one another.
Before our first session, they told me that they weren’t good in front of the camera. However, It didn’t take long to see how untrue that was! Their love and chemistry together shines through every moment in photos!
It was so great getting to see them again! It feels like it’s been so long since we got to work together but really, I just got to see them a couple of months ago for my Christmas minis! They always look amazing and Naomi is the best at bringing props to include in the photos.
Getting to work with Naomi and Ryan is sincerely an honor. We always have a good time and there are lots of laughs. The way that they are able to be themselves and be goofy together is so very sweet. Getting to watch their love continue to grow over the time I’ve known them is so very precious. I’m hoping that the next session we do together they bring along their fur-babies so that I can finally meet them!
The way Naomi and Ryan look at one another makes me smile so much. The way they just enjoy being around one another and seem to always be in sync is admirable. Getting to work with beautiful couples so full of love for one another, life, and other’s is definitely what you would call a dream client. Who doesn’t want that?! I feel so fortunate to be able to say that all three of the couples that came out for my Valentine’s Day minis meet that description perfectly!
Ryan gets a special award for being a little spontaneous towards the end of the photoshoot and grabbing Naomi for a lifted kiss! It’s almost like we planned it – may have to consider actually planning a surprise pose for their next session, it worked so well this time haha.
Naomi and Ryan, thank you so much for asking me to be a part of so many milestones in your lives and relationship. You two are truly such beautiful people inside and out. I love getting to work with you and follow along with your day-to-day lives. It’s easy to feel like I’ve known you both so much longer than I actually have. I cannot wait for the next session we talked about!! You guys are the best, I hope you had the sweetest Valentine’s Day together.
The final couple that took place in my minis was Jackie and Craig! I got to meet them this past fall, but they just wanted some photos of their adorable kiddos for that session. I am extremely happy that I was able to get them to take photos of just the two of them for these minis. They haven’t had professional photos of just the two of them since their wedding! Not allowed. :)
Now, this may sound like I am just saying this for everyone who booked for this day, but I promise I mean it.. These two have so much love for one another. They have a blended family of four kids, all around the same age, two boys, two girls.. Not the easiest at times I am sure. When I met their family, it was hard to even tell that they haven’t always been together. The kids are lots of fun, and clearly love each other. Getting to work with families like this hold a very special place in my heart. I love seeing couples and kids come together as one family.
An amazing client and good friend of mine actually recommended Jackie book me. I loved working with them all so much in October, I was excited when they said they wanted to do more minis with me in the future! Of course I had to let Jackie know about these minis and was excited when she agreed to go kid-free for some much deserved photos of just her and Craig.
The chemistry between these two is so very sweet. I love when couples are able to just be themselves for photos, and around other people. I know it isn’t always the easiest when you hardly know the photographer, but it makes for the best photos. I always want my clients to feel as though they can be themselves, relax and have a great time!
Craig is a trooper, not many guys love being in front of the camera. He openly admits he does it for Jackie, but it’s easy to see he had plenty of fun during the session! I think all the men loved getting to explore this location and property with all the interesting quirky things that are available to pose near and check out.
Being around Jackie and Craig always makes for a fun session. There’s never a shortage of laughs and jokes. I loved getting to know them as a couple a little more this time as last time I got to mainly know the kids. I wanted to be sure that we were able to include Craig’s tattoos of his daughter and son’s name on his arms, along with Jackie’s rings. I love including sweet personal things like this in my client’s photos. It makes it that much more special.
Jackie and Craig, thank you so much for asking me to be a part of capturing these precious memories for your family. Your kids are beautiful, inside and out, just like the two of you. I’m so happy that I got to meet you all this year. I can’t wait for some beautiful future sessions with all six of you! Truly though, I feel so honored that you trusted me to take photos of you two, without the kids as a treat to yourselves. You both deserve it! I loved all of these photos, it was truly hard picking which to include for this post! You’re amazing people who have raised four amazing little people. :) See you all soon!
Thank you to all my amazing clients who came out for these sweet minis! I really love all of these photos and picking just a few of each couple was extremely hard, so you all get to see lots of beautiful variety of each couple’s session.
I will be offering more minis throughout the year! If you’d like to be kept informed on the upcoming minis, you can send me an email to get added to the mini mailing list! :)
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
