Shubhangi’s Milkbath Maternity | Round Rock, Texas

It’s official – all my milk bath dreams have come true! This photoshoot is definitely one of my new favorite milk bath sessions that I have ever done. Not only did our visions for the session align perfectly, but Shubhangi is the sweetest person to work with.

When Shubhangi reached out to me about doing a milk bath session I was slightly nervous. I unfortunately don’t have a tub that lets me do these in my home or in a studio at this time. Therefore, the set-up solely relies on the client’s home for it to take place. Most clients unfortunately either don’t have a big enough tub, or enough space in their bathroom for me to provide external light. Shubhangi fortunately had it ALL! Her master bathroom is not only stunning with a freestanding tub, but it’s also huge with a big window behind the tub. Everything worked out so perfectly for this session, I was so excited to be a part of it.

Planning what to use and wear for the session is always one of the most fun parts. I was happy when Shubhangi was on board for including fruit as well as flowers in the tub. The outfit change was well worth it because it gave her so much more variety in these photos.

When it comes to posing, milk bath sessions can be slightly limiting, especially for a maternity session. You have to get a little creative and find ways to give more variety throughout the session. Outfit changes, props and having the ability to work with different angles.
