The Borja family were fortunate enough to have their session on the last “warm” day of the week before the cold front moved in. It was overcast and breezy, but we had such a blast. It was cold enough that everyone wore their jackets to walk through the park whenever we weren’t taking photos. Poor Valentina was probably the coldest of everyone, but looked so pretty in her blue dress and adorable headband with ears!
I love that the family decided to go with Walnut Creek as the location for their session. Doing photoshoots here is great for those who want more variety throughout one location for their portrait session. The park is quite large and full of amazing spots to take photos at. If you’re up for the walk, it is definitely more than worth it. The kids, Valentina and Max, were able to climb onto the rocks for some great pictures of just them together. I also got Mum & Dad together right by the creek for some sweet portraits of just the two of them, having their three kids behind me making them giggle throughout all their shots!
Before meeting the Borja family, I knew that their session would be loads of fun! It was the first time that they were all together in Texas, and it had been a while since they were able to do a family photoshoot. Also, Carolina’s son, Max, has his birthday coming up next week! I love combining family photos with special individual portraits as well. He looked so handsome in his suspenders and plaid shirt!! The entire family wore such beautiful complimenting colour clothes to one another, without matching. The tones they wore really went well with all the surrounding colours at the location as well. This is part of why I love sending my clients a style guide and location guide to help them choose outfits beforehand and so that they can know exactly how all the locations I offer look.
It was awesome to have Carolina’s best friend, Becki, there to help me and everyone as well. They explained that Becki’s family took in Carolina when she came here as an exchange student and how they have been friends, sisters really, ever since. This was the first time that Carolina’s family had gotten to meet Becki so I felt extra special to be able to be there while they all got to spend time together. Of course at the end of the session, we had to do a shot of everyone with Becki in there too, as she is family as well after all!
Borja family, thank you for being the best last session of 2017 that I could ever wish for, and for being my last session as Maegan Harless Photography (I’m rebranding, read all about it by clicking the link)! Thank you for asking me to be a part of capturing these beautiful memories of your family together for you all to cherish in the years to come. It was so amazing to meet you all and I hope to work with you again in 2018!
Great shoot, nice variety, looks like a wonderful location. Looks like everyone had a good time.
Thank you so much! I love ❤️ all the pictures! Is exactly what we wanted! We all look great and kids well what can I say!
