Wilson Family | Round Rock, Texas

It was the most perfect day for family portraits… There was a beautiful golden glow in the sky above the Wilson family and I as we walked towards the trees. Hard to believe that just the day before it was freezing and pouring with rain… Only to then give us the perfect cool, but not cold, temperature and with the most gorgeous golden hour.

Little Adaline could hardly contain her excitement to run around and explore. She was beyond adorable with her red bow – and those gorgeous eyes!! It didn’t take much to convince her to snuggle up in her mum’s arms. This was the perfect way to capture some beautiful, candid styled portraits of them together. Dad jumped in too and there was plenty of giggles, hugs and kisses to go around.

The best part about meeting and working with the Wilson family was being a part of this session to announce their new arrival! Congratulations to Amanda and Mark! I am so happy for you both and cannot wait to meet your new little one. One of my absolute favorite parts of my job is being a part of family’s milestones! There’s something so special about being a part of a family’s journey. I love seeing my clients throughout the year to help capture memories of everything that’s happening on in their lives.

We are all very busy all the time and the days go by so quickly, especially with kids. It’s so important for us to take time out of our schedules for and with our families, just to enjoy one another. I love capturing memories of milestones for families that they can look back on and cherish. However, I also love making their photoshoot loads of fun with lots of laughing. Your session shouldn’t be stressful! I want all my clients to enjoy their time together in front of my lens. Family portraits should be time spent together having fun! Quality time being a family as I capture the moments for you to look back on and enjoy all over again.

Throughout this entire session I couldn’t help but smile and laugh with the family. While playing with Adaline, sneaking a peek from behind the tree, to doing spins in the grass, (which was just too adorable) I captured some beautiful portraits of her. I do love capturing some planned and posed portraits, but my absolute favorite style of portraits are candid ones. Especially of kids! Letting kids show their personality and just allowing them to be themselves is the key to capturing some of the most beautiful portraits. I also really enjoy capturing those shots with each parent individually. I think it’s so sweet to have photos of those moments shared with mum and dad individually. During this session specifically, Adaline was more than happy to give mum lots of kisses that were full of so much love we all ended up laughing. Dad got to be her climbing gym as he tried to hold her and she instead wanted to try crawl all over him, haha.

Wilson family, thank you so much for hiring me to be a part of this beautiful milestone in your life. Your family is so amazing and beautiful it was an absolute joy and pleasure to meet and work with the three (four) of you. As I was photographing your family I was so excited for you to see your photos. It was sincerely difficult to narrow the choices down for this blog post, haha. I am so excited to meet Baby Wilson this summer! I cannot wait for Adaline to meet her new baby brother or sister, she is going to be such a good big sister!
