Katie’s Quinceañera Photoshoot | Austin, Texas

It was a beautiful morning in Austin as the sun started to rise at the park. During the summer months in Texas, the mornings are usually best to shoot as it’s so much cooler! The session started out with a temperature of 75 degrees with a beautiful light breeze. Katie chose this park specifically for the beautiful rocks and water. I’m glad she chose this location as it was perfect for her quinceañera portraits!

It seems as though only a few weeks ago I photographed her cousin, Lissette’s, Quinceañera portraits!It’s hard to believe that it has already been a year since I last worked with Katie’s family to capture their beautiful Christmas photos. When they contacted me about Katie’s portrait session, I was so excited to plan another session with them! I feel so fortunate to have clients who are so much fun, and amazing to work with.

Katie is gorgeous, along with the rest of their family, as well as the sweetest people you have ever met. The thing I probably love most about working with Katie is her willingness to try anything you suggest, haha. Katie is always having fun throughout photoshoots, but also making everyone else laugh as well.

Now, when your client sends you a text with a photo of a ’66 Mustang and asks if they can bring it to the session – you say yes. Then you say yes again. Then, you get overly excited about getting to pose your client, in a big beautiful dress with this gorgeous classic car! Did I mention how fortunate I am to have such amazing clients?

I was really happy when Katie’s little brother, Jakob wanted to be a part of some photos with Katie as well. He is too sweet, and so handsome! Of course we had to get some cute shots of them together on her big day, as well as with him next to the Mustang. Jakob may be Katie’s little brother, but he is always trying to help Katie out. It’s TOO adorable to witness!

Katie, thank you for being such a beautiful person inside and out. You are so wonderful to be around and to work with. It was sincerely a pleasure as always! Thank you for being so awesome about all my ideas, even having to spin in circles a few times.

Lissette, you are SUPER-MUM! Your kids are such beautiful people. You’re all always smiling and it’s contagious! Your entire family is always such a pleasure to work with and be around. You all of course always look stunning every time I see you all. The fact that you got Katie ready for a 7AM session on a weekend, with that big dress and her makeup and hair done as well – that’s above and beyond! Thank you for letting me photograph these milestones for your family. It means so much to me to continue to be a part of them. I look forward to seeing you guys again for Christmas photos!
