The Curtis family was so amazing to photograph! Working with kids like Emma and Sam make my job that much more fun. It’s always great when you meet new clients and you feel as though you’ve known them for years. Emma and Sam were extremely sweet and polite! They were more than happy to be in front of the camera and snuggle up with their parents, as well as each other. Bé and David were truly great in preparing them for the photoshoot which always makes it more fun for the kids as well!
It was such a beautiful day outside; finally we got some sun in Austin! I loved the outfits that Bé picked out for everyone. They all looked not only amazing but cozy as well in their more winter themed outfits. Still completely in love with Emma’s cat skirt!!!!!!
I always feel that by keeping your outfits more ‘winter’ themed than holiday themed for Christmas family photos is a great idea. It makes these images great to showcase in your home year round!
Emma and Sam were excited to get to feed the goats and see the donkey! It was a fun way to start the session and get them in a giggly mood. They loved getting to be a little silly in some photos. I think is great for kids to be allowed to be themselves in photos! They both helped me to get their parents to laugh by being my ‘assistants’ and making funny faces next to me.
When we finished up by the trees and asked if they were ready to explore more of the park, Emma was more than ready! She helped lead us all through ‘North America’. We were on the look out trying to find Lions on the way to another field. Lions of course being the arrows on the sidewalk. :) She made it that much more fun for Sam to join along in helping to ‘search’ for the lions.
Every part of this session was loads of fun and full of laughs for everyone. I always aim for my clients to have fun during their session; especially the kids! :)
David and Bé, thank you so much for asking me to be a part of this beautiful photoshoot. Your family is gorgeous inside and out. It was sincerely such a pleasure getting to meet and work with you all. You’re all amazing and sweet; I look forward to working with you again in the future!
