Getting to meet and work with this beautiful couple and their pup was such an amazing experience. These two are truly the sweetest! I couldn’t be happier for them starting this new chapter and journey in their life. Getting to be a part of photographing this milestone for them was an honor!

When Kirsten and Ben mentioned wanting to bring their fur-baby along, I was beyond excited. Including pets in your photos is always fun, they are part of the family as well after-all! Their pup was excited to explore the park with them, but was a such a good model for some well deserved treats. ;)

It’s hard to believe that Kirsten is due in a little over a month! I am so excited for them to finally meet Baby Walton. It’s easy to see how very loved their little one already is by them both. Being a part of family’s milestones as a photographer is a great honor. I really love and appreciate that people trust me with capturing these special and important moments of their lives. Freezing this time in photographs so that you’re able to look back on it and cherish for years to come.

A couple of years ago, I started to include a style guide for my clients. Since I’ve started to send this out, I have received so many compliments about how much it helped my clients prepare for their session. There are tips in there to help with preparing your kids, how to dress everyone (including larger groups), and even ideas on accessories to bring. It can be stressful dressing more than one person, especially for a photoshoot. I also know that it’s sometimes hard to imagine how outfits will look in a location you perhaps haven’t even visited before, and especially on camera. I want all my clients to love the outcome of their images and do my best to help in any and all ways possible! :) When Kirsten and Ben showed up, they were one of the many couples who got out of the car looking great; style guide approved! I absolutely love what they chose to wear and especially loved the colour of Kirsten’s dress. By going with more neutral colours I think it really helps you stand out from the background in images, and keeps your photos timeless!

Kirsten and Ben, thank you so much for asking me to be a part of such a special and amazing time in your lives. I couldn’t be more excited for you both to start this new adventure together! These next chapters in your lives are going to be so beautiful and special. I cannot wait to meet baby Walton and photograph all the precious details and memories for you both then as well.
