Racine Family Session | Cedar Park, Texas

Logan is one! It was such an honor to be a part of this adorable little guy’s first birthday!

I truly love getting to photograph smash cake sessions. It’s so much fun getting to be a part of this fun milestone for kids. I love when parents come up with ideas on props and themes to include for the photos. I find that when clients bring props to the session make it that much more personal. The Racine family brought all the awesome balloons, bubbles and the beautiful cake.

When we discussed location options, I mentioned how I found a little tucked away gem of grass and trees at a park the family loved from my guide. Getting to sneak away into this new forest like wonderland for portraits with them was a treat!

Jill and David told me that he got to practice eating cake the day before and
how much he loved it. They weren’t kidding… Logan was ALL about the cake! He took his job of ‘smashing’ it, very seriously. We all ended up laughing throughout all his cake photos because he was so focused on it, having a blast.

David and Jill are truly so fantastic! I love getting to meet and work with new clients and having that instant connection with them. Not only did we have lots of fun, loads of laughing, but we truly got so many beautiful photos for them to look back on and enjoy. Throughout the entire session it was sincerely fun to work with them. Getting to know clients as a family is really important to me and I loved every second of it.

Being on the sidelines, if you will, as moments unfold between parents and their children is special to me. I love getting to capture what may seem like every day moments with your kids, but freezing them for you to love and look back on. Honestly though, what better way to spend your weekend than laughing the evening away while creating and capturing beautiful memories?!

Racine family, thank you so very much for asking me to be a part of this beautiful milestone for Logan and your family. I truly loved every moment of it and cannot wait to work with you guys in the future!
