Makaela’s Senior Session | Cedar Park, Texas

Makaela graduated!!!!! I couldn’t be happier to be a part of celebrating and capturing memories of this incredible new chapter in her life.

Makaela and her mum, Linda, drove to Austin from Houston just to have me photograph this session for them. When clients write in and let you know that they’ll be traveling that far, it’s truly an honor. Makaela will be attending Texas State soon and I could not be happier for her.

Being a part of people’s milestones is one of the best parts of my job. I love meeting new people and getting to capture these beautiful moments for them to look back on. Learning about them and their family is extremely special to me.

Planning this session through email with Makaela and Linda was a lot of fun. They chose two parks very close to one another that really showcased everything Makaela wanted from her senior photos. Her love of nature, flowers, tall grass and water is something I can definitely relate to!

I absolutely LOVED the dress she chose to wear. It was stunning; the perfect senior portrait outfit. Her shoes were great, they added that pop of colour which went so well with the flowers she wanted to be surrounded by. Her fringe earrings were the best and really pulled everything about her outfit together.

Working with people, and seniors especially, like Makaela is really awesome and special. Makaela is truly such a beautiful person, inside and out. She’s always smiling and laughing; she’s honestly the sweetest person. Working with her was not only easy, but also loads of fun. She’s a natural in front of the camera and I couldn’t be happier that I was able to help her find an ideal location for these images with her living further away from the area.

Linda, Makaela’s mum is also fantastic. Their friendship and love for one another was amazing to witness. I love seeing that bond between parents and their teenage kids. It’s important to love your parents and let them know how appreciated they are. Linda’s pride for her daughter’s accomplishments is easy and beautiful to see. I couldn’t be more thankful for them both making the drive out to Austin to be in front of my lens and to have these images to look back on for many years to come.

Makaela, you really are going amazing places in life. I’m ecstatic for you to start this new journey! It truly is extremely exciting and fun. I know you’re ready to meet your new roommates and start this new chapter. I look forward to hearing from you in the future when you graduate from Texas State.
