Weeks Family Photoshoot | Round Rock, Texas

I couldn’t be happier to have finally met Lucas! The last time I had Ariel and Daniel in front of my camera it was for their maternity session. They had just moved to Austin and were expecting Lucas soon after!

When the Weeks family contacted me about doing a family session with Lucas, who’s sitting up now, I was beyond excited. This little nugget has the cutest giggle and the biggest blue eyes!

Getting to do sunrise sessions with little ones in the summer is always a great idea. The days are so much longer this time of year so getting them to be happy so late in the evening can be really difficult. Sunrise sessions still have beautiful light! If you have younger kiddos that can’t make it until sunset, it can be a great option for your family.

Lucas is such a happy guy first thing in the morning! He absolutely loved getting all the snuggles in with his parents and being held up high above them.

Capturing these beautiful prompted but more natural poses are always what I enjoy the most with families, especially when they have younger kids. When kids are under the age of 5, I find it harder for them to understand posing and what a photoshoot is truly about, and that’s okay. :) They want to explore and run around. They want to snuggle up with their parents, or throw rocks. Instead of forcing something I would rather the kids enjoy their time in front of the camera by doing things that are more natural. Remember these moments and stages in their childhood, they grow up and change so quickly!

Weeks family, you are always amazing to work with. I sincerely loved every second of this session and I cannot wait to have you guys in front of my camera again soon! Lucas is such a beautiful boy, inside and out. I know he will grow up to be such a sweet boy with as much love as he has surrounding him. You guys all looked amazing as always and I hope you love these images as much as I do. :)
